PRP Continues Expansion of Asia Business Ventures

For the third consecutive year, PRP Creative Entertainment, a division of Vancouver-based Patrick Roberge Productions, will be on-site at the upcoming IAAPA Asian Attractions Expo 2009 in Seoul, Korea from June 10 – 12, 2009.

More than 3000 owners, operators, and managers of theme parks, fairs, family entertainment centers, waterparks, zoos, aquariums, stadiums, arenas and resorts from dozens of nations are expected to attend. The Asian Attractions Expo 2009 exhibit floor will showcase a large variety of products and services for the attractions industry including theme park rides, show and event production services, consultancy services, design services and more. 

We look forward to reconnecting with the colleagues and clients that we have met in past years and forming business ventures with new contacts,” said PRP’s President and Creative Director, Patrick Roberge.  “PRP’s creative live production is an ideal fit for the ongoing attractions and themed entertainment expansions across Asia.”

Having already produced productions in Hong Kong, China and Japan, PRP is eager to continue expansion throughout Asia.

PRP’ first ventured to Asia in 1996 to work on the Inaugural Chinese New Year’s Parade in Hong Kong.

In 2006, the PRP team was in Guangdong, China for the International Tourism and Culture Festival.  As part of BC Premier Gordon Campbell’s trade and cultural mission to China, PRP produced a custom cultural delegation to represent BC and Canada.

In 2007, the team traveled to Japan to produce the handover Ceremony of the World Skills Games; an event that saw the best young talent in trade and technology from 49 nations compete in numerous and trade and skill events.

As the Official Event Management Company for the BC Canada Pavilion in Beijing China, during the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, PRP produced multiple events that included the Opening Ceremonies, Legacy Event, various Media Presentations and the Canadian Olympic Friends & Family Celebration.

Earlier this year, PRP was named producer of the Opening & Closing Ceremonies for the 2010 Winter Paralympic Games.  The Opening Ceremony will be held in BC Place on March 12th.  The Closing Ceremonies will be in Whistler on March 23rd.
