PRP Creative Sport was proud to support the BC Wheelchair Sports Association and the Canadian Wheelchair Sports Association this past weekend at the 2008 Canada Cup International Wheelchair Rugby Tournament.

As a silver sponsor for the three-day event, PRP Creative Sport managed all entertainment programming, which included the opening and closing ceremonies, medal recognition ceremonies and half time performances during the bronze and gold medal matches. Athletes and onlookers enjoyed performances by featured country recording artist Kelly Brock, local song and dance troupe, Showstoppers and dancers from Affinity Studios. Local and international dignitaries and government officials joined in the festivities, while members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police were on hand as parade escorts and presented the Canada Cup to the winning team.

"PRP Creative Sport has been heavily involved with the BC Wheelchair Sport Association," said PRP Communications Manager, Ruth Knoop. "It's great to continue to provide entertainment for such a dynamic organization."

Throughout the weekend, eight international teams participated in the competition. USA won gold, New Zealand the silver and the home team, Canada, proudly claimed bronze. This will be the last competition before the Paralympics in Beijing, China.
