PRP Seeks Volunteers of all Ages and Abilities to Perform in 2010 Paralympic Winter Games Ceremonies.

The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) announced, today, they are looking for 5,000 volunteers with all types of abilities and performance skills who exude personality, great energy and a positive attitude to participate in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games

All performers must be six years of age or older as of September 1, 2009.  Deadlines for applications is October 9, 2009.

On March 12, 2010 the entire world will congregate at Vancouver's BC Place Stadium for the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympic Games.  Nine days later, the Games will draw to an end with the Closing Ceremony at the Whistler Medals Plaza in Whister, BC.

A creative team from across Canada, led by Ceremonies Producer Patrick Roberge wil stage the ceremonies and direct the 5,000 volunteer performers.

We can hardly wait to meet these volunteers and work with them,” said PRP's President and Creative Director, Patrick Roberge. “They’re going to have an amazing experience. We’re going to have some spectacular performance components that showcase dance, highlight unique abilities and celebrate the athletes.”
