As Canada’s Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) counts down to their 100th Anniversary in 2010, PRP Creative Entertainment (PRP), a division of PRP Inc., will start the celebration early with another summer of exciting and innovative entertainment at the 99th Annual Fair at the PNE.

This will be the 16th season for PRP producing the entire entertainment lineup for the Fair’s 17-day run.  And what a lineup it is!

Returning favourite the Summer Night Concert Series will showcase a bevy of the hottest musical performers that will appeal to audiences of all ages.  From the youthful energy of Mitchel Musso (from Hannah Montana) to the classic sounds of EnVogue and Al Jarreau, and the country rowdiness of Doc Walker & Johnny Reid, there is a musical performer for everyone.  Join April Wine and local favourites Chilliwack as they both celebrate their 40th anniversary.  Enjoy rock icons Rick Springfield and Tom Cochrane with Red Rider as they fill the fairgrounds with their transcending hits.  Nostalgic icons and tribute bands such as ABBAmania and the Annual Evening with Elvis will round out this stellar line up.

PRP’s entertainment will exhilarate fairgoers with non-stop excitement. 

Making their PNE debuts this year are KABOOM!, KC’s Concerts, On the Edge, Celtic Legends and Toon Rock Parade.

Take a high tech trip through one hundred years of PNE History with KABOOM!  From the 1910 Grand Opening to the crazy days of Elvis Presley and The Beatles to the grooves of disco, this pyro musical spectacular will transport you through the sights, sounds and music of the past century.

From Doodlebops and Playhouse Disney’s Johnny & the Sprites to Bobs & Lolo and Choo Choo Soul with Genevieve!, KC’s Concerts bring all the hottest children’s performers to the stage at the PNE Amphitheatre for a magical afternoon of fun.

The World Premier of On the Edge, an action-packed, adrenaline filled experience features death-defying Quad Races with the thrill of the Car Battle where cars strive to push each other off the stage in the grand pursuit of victory.

With their vigorous steps of Irish Dance combined with the traditional sounds of Irish folk music Celtic Legends finds its sprit and soul in the roots of Ireland’s history as they personify the grace of the dance with the rhythm of the music.

For the young at heart, the Toon Rock Parade is not to be missed. From Garfield and Odie, to Snoopy, Scooby Doo, Polly Pockets and the Tasmanian Devil, the toons have gone rock ‘n roll for this musical mobile show.

PNE favourite Dal Richards, Superdogs, West Coast Logger Show and After Dark – the PNE’s ultimate night club will all be returning for another season to delight the nearly 1,000,000 fairgoers.
