The WorldSkills flag was officially handed over to Canada in front of 3,000+ spectators as a massive Canadian Flag was unfurled and the voice of Canadian vocalist Andrea Marino filled the building. Working with Kerry Moynihan, Vice President of WordSkills Calgary 2009 and Fireworks Marketing Group, PRP Inc. was proud to be part of the producing team for this inspiring Exchange Ceremony.
PRP Inc., which specializes in producing custom entertainment and live events, has worked on opening and closing ceremonies, as well as handover ceremonies around the world. "There's something especially exciting about a handover ceremony," said PRP's President and Creative Director, Patrick Roberge."It's a great way to start the countdown to the next host city".
The 2007 WorldSkills Games, which took place in Japan, were attended by more than 200,000 spectators over four days. The WorldSkills Competition, which will take place in Calgary from September 1-6, 2009 will see over 900 competitors representing 49 countries competing in 47 technology and skill events. The Calgary Games will use all available space at Stampede Park- 193 acres and 800,000 square feet of competition space.

"We get to watch tremendous competition among the best young talent in trades and technology while Calgary is showcased to hundreds of thousands of visitors, including policy makers, government representatives, employers, teachers, trainers and experts from around the world."
