It takes much more than a citywide snow storm to stop the show from going on, so while a citywide snow storm in Toronto may have caused businesses to close and schools to shut, it was business as usual for the corporate event specialists at PRP. Their commitment and expertise was put to good use as they managed to stage an unforgettable Sales Awards Gala for TELUS, despite the challenges mother nature threw their way.
Under the PRP Creative Business Division of PRP Inc., a Vancouver based event and Creative Show production company TELUS engaged the team at PRP for the second year in a row to produce and direct their Platinum Gala Awards.
“Once again it was a big hit. The gala was worthy of academy award recognition,” said Joe Natale, TELUS Executive Vice President & President of Business Solutions.
PRP’s ability to seamlessly blend original entertainment, speeches and award presentations together ensured the event achieved TELUS’ business objectives.
“Every show has its own challenges,” said PRP’s Director of Production and Operations, Nik von Schulmann. “The trick is being able to anticipate them, and plan around them. We learn something new with each event we work on, and it’s extremely gratifying to be able to put that knowledge to use in order to bring shows to life in extraordinary situations such as this one.”
PRP was pleased to work for TELUS Executive Producer Ron Pearce and the entire management team at TELUS, both in Toronto and Vancouver on the annual event.
In addition PRP was delighted to be working alongside a great team of production companies, AV Strategies Ltd., Eclipse Set Design, Electric Aura, Sensory Overload Productions and the entire TELUS Event Solutions Team.
TELUS President and CEO Darren Entwistle handed out the awards to top sales staff at the event, which also included custom created large scale multimedia productions as well as custom live entertainment.
